The officer, who was not identified, reported that he was not injured when his personal vehicle was struck at least one time by gun fire on Highway 101 near Route 85.

At a press conference late this morning, San Jose police said the three suspects in custody have some connection to the family of kidnapped 3-month-old Brandon Cuellar, taken from his home Monday afternoon.

The injury collision involved a tractor trailer and at least one other vehicle near the Hacienda Drive offramp, CHP said.

The man had previously been cited “for similar behavior” on April 27, the California Highway Patrol said.
